BP Pays $20B For ‘Small People Comment’
The Small People Comment’ that BP made had angered a lot of people, BP has said in a way that, they declared that they care about the ’small people’ affected by the oil Spill caused by BP. This comment had a lot of negative uproar that forced BP to take back what they said and had to share out $ 20 Billion for the restoration of the effects of the Oil Spill. A fund to cover the economic losses that Residents that are affected by the Oil Spill in the Gulf Coast. BP has announced an Apology and promise to help out financially with the restoration.

President Barack Obama also had a commitement after a four hour meeting in the white House. They will be suspending US$10-billion dividend. Another fund of US$100-million will be established to help Oil Rig Workers who are now unemployed after the six month moratorium on Deepwater drilling. This is going to be a lead in a major shift in Economic Differences in the USA and in the states affected.

And we have made clear from the first moment of this tragedy that we will live up to all our legitimate responsibilities,” Carl-Henric Svanberg, BP’s chairman, said after the meeting. “I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the American people on behalf of all the employees in BP, many of whom are living on the Gulf Coast.”
